MS in AT Program Specific Scholarships

Mary Lloyd Ireland, MD Athletic Training Scholarship

This scholarship is part of the EKU Foundation student scholarship program which annually provides scholarships to deserving EKU students. In order to be eligible for this scholarship, a student must:

  • be currently enrolled in the MS in AT Program.
  • have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
  • be in good standing in the AT Program.

One or more scholarships may be awarded each year based on fund availability. The Program Director and AT Faculty will evaluate all enrolled students using the scholarship rubric (see below) during the summer (~June) and will nominate students prior to the Fall semester. Students do not need to apply individually. This scholarship is evaluated on GPA, demonstrated leadership, demonstrated professional development, and demonstrated service. 

Scholarship winners will be notified by the EKU Foundation office. Please note the scholarships are for the next academic year; therefore, graduating MS in AT students are not eligible to receive this scholarship.

Dr. Bobby Barton Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship is part of the EKU Foundation student scholarship program which annually provides scholarships to deserving EKU students. Eligibility requirements for this scholarship include the following:

  • Student be currently enrolled in EKU's MS in AT Program.
  • Good academic standing standing with the University at time of award.

    One scholarship can be awarded each year based on fund availability and preference will be given to students demonstrating the greatest need upon review of the application. The Program Director and AT Faculty will evaluate all enrolled students using the scholarship rubric (see below) during the summer (~June) and will nominate students prior to the Fall semester. Students do not need to apply individually. This scholarship is evaluated on GPA, demonstrated professional pride, positive attitude/demeanor, and perceived need. 

    Scholarship winners will be notified by the EKU Foundation office. Please note the scholarships are for the next academic year; therefore, graduating MS in AT students are not eligible to receive this scholarship.

         *This scholarship/grant is available to students of diverse backgrounds that wish to attend the iLead Conference that is put on by the NATA in conjunction with the Athletic Training Education Conference every other year.
