Clinical Education at EKU

Clinical education is emphasized at EKU and makes up a large portion of the curriculum. Clinical education consists of clinical experiences with athletic trainers and other healthcare professionals as well as simulated scenarios using high-fidelity manicans. High fidelity simulations focus on scenarios that students may not encounter in their clinical settings regularly and occur while students are on campus. Clinical experiences occur in combination with their core curriculum and culminate with full-immersion experiences for the last year of the program. These experiences occur at a variety of clinical sites, which are outlined on the map below.
