EKU Athletic Training Students and Faculty Provided On-Site Look at Athletic Training in Industrial Setting at Toyota Plant in Georgetown, KY by Premise Health TMMK
Eastern Kentucky University athletic training faculty and students, got a first hand look of the industrial and corporate employment setting for Athletic Trainers, thanks to Premise Health TMMK. Premise Health invited athletic training programs from across the commonwealth to come and tour the Toyota Plant and receive a behind the scenes presentation by the athletic trainers employed on-site by Premise Health to services Toyota plant employees.
This was an incredible opportunity for EKU athletic training students to see another employment setting that athletic trainers work in and get to ask questions on the day in the life of an industrial athletic trainer from people working in this area. The experience was great and eye opening to one of many career opportunities available for our current and future athletic training students. Athletic trainers work in other settings besides with athletes and sports. Including as physician extenders, performing arts medicine, military, law enforcement and emergency services training centers to name a few. The EKU AT Program and faculty also would like to thank Premise Health TMMK and Toyota for providing such a great an enriching educational opportunity for EKU Students.
