Autumn Whitson Nominated for First Year Courses Award!
EKU ATP Faculty, Autumn Whitson, recently received a nomination for the 2019 Outstanding First Year Instructor Award! To be eligible for this award, an instructor must have spent a minimum of 2 semesters teaching a First Year Orientation Course at EKU, be nominated by a student or First Year Leader, have demonstrated innovation and creativity in teaching, and actively participate in ongoing professional development. This award allows the Office of First Year Courses to have the opportunity to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the faculty who teach these courses.
Award recipients are determined in the areas of GSO 100, GSO 102, GSD 101, and college specific orientation courses (i.e. HSO 100). Congratulations, Autumn, for your nomination. We are lucky that we have the chance to work with such an outstanding instructor on a daily basis and that level of instruction carries over into the courses she teaches within the Pre-Athletic Training/Pre-Physical Therapy Concentration and the MS in Athletic Training Program!
