Athletic Training Students Honored at the Exercise & Sport Science Department Awards Ceremony

EKU Athletic Training Students Receive Awards

Sophomore Kelsey Neuman, was honored first, as the Exercise & Sport Science Department Outstanding Sophomore and then was presented with the Charles "Turkey Hughes" Award which comes with a monetary award and is a competitive award where one candidate from the Department of Health Promotion and Administrations and  one from the Department of Exercise and Sport Science are interviewed by a joint committee who then select the winner. Junior Adam Diamond, was presented with the Department of Exercise and Sport Science Outstanding Junior Award.  Adam is an excellent student with a 4.0 Cumulative GPA and has been on the dean's and presidents honor roll multiple semesters.

Karyn Zaage a freshman Pre-Athletic Training Major was awarded the Department of Exercise & Sport Science  Outstanding Freshman Award.

The candidates are identified by various department faculty and advisors who  then have the candidates  complete and submit an application, which is reviewed by the department honors committee.  The department faculty are then presented the candidates for review and selection based on faculty vote.
