Mary Lloyd Ireland, MD Athletic Training Scholarship

This scholarship is part of the EKU Foundation student scholarship program which annually provides scholarships to deserving EKU students. Eligibility requirements for this scholarship include the following:

  • Must be a student who has been admitted to the MS in AT Program or is currently enrolled in either the BS or MS in AT Programs
  • Have a minimum of a Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Good standing in the AT Program

Two (2) scholarships can be awarded each year based on fund availability. The scholarship evaluation committee (aka. AT Program faculty) evaluates each application on the areas of scholarship, professional development and leadership. A general rubric for the evaluation of applicants is attached below. If you are interested in applying for this scholarship, please submit the following documents via email  to Dr. Matthew J Sabin, LAT, ATC by April 25, 2018Applications will be reviewed by the AT Program faculty and winners will be notified by the EKU Scholarship Office and Dr. Sabin. Please note the scholarships are for the 2018-2019 school year; therefore, graduating seniors or graduating MS in AT students are not eligible to receive this scholarship.

  • Application letter
  • Resume - Please include current GPA, any AT-related conferences and experiences you have had, leadership positions you have held in various clubs and/or organizations, and any academic honors and awards you may have received (Dean's List, etc.) in addition to other standard resume items.

Dr. Bobby Barton Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship is part of the EKU Foundation student scholarship program which annually provides scholarships to deserving EKU students. Eligibility requirements for this scholarship

  • Must be a student who has been admitted to the MS in AT Program or is currently enrolled in either the BS or MS in AT Programs
  • Good academic standing standing with the University at time of award.

    One scholarship can be awarded each year based on fund availability and preference will be given to students demonstrating the greatest need as determined by the AT Faculty Committee. If you are interested in applying for this scholarship, please submit the following documents via email  to Dr. Matthew J Sabin, LAT, ATC by April 25, 2018Applications will be reviewed by the AT Program faculty and winners will be notified by the EKU Scholarship Office and Dr. Sabin. Please note the scholarships are for the 2018-2019 school year; therefore, graduating seniors or graduating MS in AT students are not eligible to receive this scholarship.

    • Resume - Please include current GPA, any AT-related conferences and experiences you have had, leadership positions you have held in various clubs and/or organizations, and any academic honors and awards you may have received (Dean's List, etc.) in addition to other standard resume items.

    iLead Diversity Grant Program

    This scholarship/grant is available to students of diverse backgrounds that wish to attend the iLead Conference that is put on by the NATA in conjunction with the Athletic Training Education Conference every other year. The link to this opportunity is below:
