RICHMOND, Ky. – In the heat of two Texan summers, Bobby Feeback rubbed shoulders with some Cowboys in the fields. The football fields, that is.

Now, after two summer-long, pre-season internships with the team, Feeback, an Eastern Kentucky University senior athletic training major from Cynthiana, has accepted a two-year seasonal position with the Dallas Cowboys.

AT Program May 2013 Graduates Deliver 100% 1st Time Pass Rate on Board of Certification Exam

The EKU Athletic Training (AT) Program May 2013 graduating senior class recieved the results of their Board of Certification Exam  on May 6, 2013 with 100% of them passing on there first attempt.  Students in the EKU AT program are eligible to take the Board of Certication Exam in April of there final semester.  This is the pinnacle point for AT program students of what they have been working hard for the past four years.  The students have

Five Athletic Training (AT) Program Students Honored with Awards by the EKU Department of Exercise & Sport Science

The Athletic Training (AT) Program at Eastern Kentucky Universty was well represented at the Department of Exercise and Sport Science Honors Awards Day.   The Department selected Dave Werner, MAT, ATC, LAT Associate Director of Sports Health for the University of Florida as the 2013 Outstanding Alumnus of the Year.

David Werner, MAT, ATC, LAT the current Associate Director of Spors Health at the University of Florida, where he also serves as the men's basketball athletic trainer, was awared the Eastern Kentucky University Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences 2013 Outstanding Alumnus Award.  Dave is a 1991 graduate of the EKU athletic training program, who completed his Master's Degree at the University of Louisville.  He then went on to work with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1993, then served as an Intern Athletic Trainer back at EKU from January 1994 to May 1994, before taking a

48 ATEP Students Attend Conference for Athletic Training students in Atlanta GA Jan. 31-Feb. 2, 2013

ATEP Students attend I-Lead Confernnce in Dallas, TX a National Leadership Conference for Future Leaders in Athletic Training

The EKU Athletic Training Education Program has six students five sophomores, Senior Andrew Brubaker and Sophomores BreAnna Hankins, Bridget Eaton, Caitlin Adams, Karyn Zaage, and Jessica Kidwell attended the NATA Bi-Annual iLead Conference which is held in conjuction with the NATA's National Athletic Trainers Educators Conference or ATEC this past weekend in Dallas, TX (Jan. 11 to 12, 2013).   This will also continue the tradition of having had students at all iLead conferences since the conference started 6 yeas ago and this is held every two years.

NATA President Thorton Selects EKU ATEP Student Andrew Bruker to Present an Oral Report as Part of Thortons Address at iLead

NATA President Jim Thorton, MS, ATC, CES contacted EKU ATEP Student Andrew Brubaker, the current SEATA Student Senate Chair and this past years winnner of the NATA Bobby Gunn Scholarship and invited Andrew to present a short oral report as a part of President Thorton's address at the iLead Conference in Dallas, TX on January 11 to 13 2013.   Andrew will be also be one of six EKU ATEP students who will be atttending this national leadership conference designed to develop future leaders in the athletic training profession.
